Oil & Wax Finishes
All Bunchberry cabinets and furniture come with a standard hand-rubbed oil and wax finish. This traditional penetrating finish provides excellent moisture resistance which hardens over time. Unlike most commercial wood finishes, including catalyzed lacquers, oil and wax finishes allow for simple, safe, and inexpensive refinishing and repairs. This opportunity to feed and repair the finish extends the life of the cabinets.
These finishes provide potential LEED credits for low-emitting and regionally-produced materials.
Land Ark Concentrated Finishing Oil
Manufactured in Reedsport, Land Ark's concentrated finishing oil combines tung oil, linseed oil, beeswax, citrus solvent, and pine rosin. Contains no petroleum distillates or heavy metal driers.
Tried & True Original Wood Finish
A zero-VOC combination of heat-polymerized linseed oil and beeswax. No petroleum distallates or heavy metal driers. FDA approved for food contact surfaces.
