Google keyword research is more crucial than ever before, as Google adwords is now the world's #1 ad network.Google's arm reach 4/5 of users in 20 languages.

However, with such a universal pull, the competition is growing by the day. Google is making a killing.4 billion in 2007 from adwords income. I dont know how much of that money came from profitable ads, but my guess is more advertisers lost money than made money on the ads.

I want to discuss the six major challenged to succeeding in PPC

Finding the exact keywords you need
Discovering that winning combination
Writing high quality adverts
Proper PPC Ad Placement & Positioning
High converting landing pages
Testing & Tweaking

Finding those right keywords: the keywords are the key factor. You need to have the same words people are searching for to get clicks. Even worse than that is if you get clicks form people uninterested in what you have to offer.

It is a catch 22.

You want the clicks, but you dont want every click. That one click from the right person is what we are looking for. You must make sure the keywords you choose for your ads are finely tailored to your product and to the exact keywords that potential customers will most likely be searching for.

However, for you to do this manually takes time and effort. And worse, it's not guaranteed to work at all in the end. There were keyword research tools out there, but many of them were confusing to use and sometimes just as time-consuming as doing the research manually. Having spent all that time inresearch, now you will need to test them out. Wait! You wish -this is only stage one. Having the right keywords is one thing, having them in the right order is way harder. it's essentially the same as taking a mathmatics exam where the right answer is 745.

Miss the answer by one and you are totally wrong. There are no points for near misses. it's essentially the same as ppc. People are searching for more than specific words. They are searching for specific words in a specific order & specific combination.

You need to be right on the money if you want to attract the right customers. Research is required in order to discover which combination works best for you.

If that's not hard enough, there are other factors as well. That you need to find out what products your competition are promoting in combination with the landing pages and keywords & keyword combination that are making them a profit in order to make serious money. But there is a solution, a shortcut if you will.
